About Me…

I attended Purdue University and graduated in 2022 with a degree in User Experience Design and a minor in Psychology. User Experience was exactly the type of people-centered career I was looking for. After graduating, I began my UX career as a UX Researcher for Key Lime Interactive where I am actively using my skills to unify and strengthen people’s online and in-person experiences.

I have always had a deep love for music and performance. In college, I sang in an all-female choir, served on leadership for my ensemble, and acted as the student choreographer/dance caption. From this experience, I was given the awesome opportunity to act as a choreographer for local high school show choirs. I loved being able to create performances for young performers to bring to life.

When I’m not working these days, you can find me sweating it out at the gym or kickboxing studio, impatiently baking a sweet treat, or watching one of my many comfort movies. Right now, my go-to is the Lord of the Rings Series.

My two nieces and three nephews are my inspiration for my work. I want to build products that will help make their future brighter, safer, and more genuinely connected. In the future, I want to be part of a movement of researchers and designers who put dimension back into the digital interactions that have been flattened by human-absent creators.

My Philosophy…

Advocacy and Design

However, this ought not to mitigate the designers’ responsibilities, as professionals, to serve the interests of those most affected by their designs.

Advocacy as design

Advocacy for design

Advocacy for yourself

  1. Advocacy as design: UX designers have the unique privilege to act as the bridge between people’s needs and reality. As a researcher, I am actively seeking conversations that allow for vulnerability, honesty, and creativity. It is my purpose to understand what pains users and what change gets them excited. It is my honor to be the voice for those who are not at the table.

  2. Advocacy for design: When is it time to move and when is it time to plant yourself like a tree? If I am unable to fight for the tools to reach communities then I am unable to speak for them. I must work with what I am given but always consider and encourage new questions and methods.

  3. Advocacy for yourself: To be a voice for others, you must know who to be a voice for yourself. I strive to explore my values and constantly question new ways of thinking. I want to always be growing and breaking and evolving. The more I am comfortable exploring myself, the more I am thrilled to be exploring others.

The Process: Perfect Chaos

What is the sea if not restless? When I consider my process as a researcher and designer, I imagine the stormy waves in my brain and converging and churning. It is often hard to see the capacity of strength and beauty when you are in the middle of the storm. This is the analysis stage of my process when I am entrenched in my findings and trying to find which pieces are the most crucial to grasp onto. But when the storm ends there is peace on the waves. This is the synthesis and action of my process. It is where the picture because clear and I am able to make connections.
